Jakarta, March 13, 2024 – For more than 40 years, JEC Group has been making quality eye care more accessible to communities across Indonesia. With 15 branches spread across Jabodetabek and other regions, JEC continues to lead the eye health industry as a market leader. To stay relevant in an ever-changing era, JEC has been accelerating a comprehensive digital transformation across all aspects of its services.
This transformation reflects JEC’s commitment to not only improving efficiency but also enhancing the overall patient experience. By embracing digital innovations, JEC ensures faster services, more accurate diagnoses, and greater convenience for patients.
One major milestone is the adoption of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), which allows seamless access to patient data across all JEC branches. Patients can now continue consultations and treatments at any JEC facility without worrying about losing track of their medical history. Online appointment booking has also streamlined scheduling, reduced waiting times, and provided patients with a smoother journey.
JEC has also introduced self-service registration kiosks, giving patients greater independence and convenience upon arrival. To complement this, an integrated notification system keeps patients updated with reminders about upcoming appointments and treatments.
Furthermore, AI-powered services via WhatsApp have optimized the Contact Center’s performance, ensuring that patients’ inquiries are handled quickly and efficiently. These steps reaffirm JEC’s dedication to being closer to patients and delivering the best possible care.
From a marketing standpoint, JEC has embraced a “phygital” approach—blending physical and digital experiences—to respond to evolving customer behavior. Supported by Google UTM tracking, JEC can now monitor and analyze digital traffic sources in real-time, allowing agile adjustments in marketing strategies to improve conversions and ROI.
All these efforts have been recognized at the Marketeers OMNI Awards 2024, where JEC Group received the award for Digital Customer Engagement. Representing JEC at the award ceremony were Dify M Purba, MBA, Head of Social Network & Multimedia Division, and Pandu Jati Kuncoro, Marketing and Communication Manager. The award was presented by Iwan Setiawan, CEO of Marketeers.
“We are truly grateful for this recognition from Marketeers, as well as for the trust and support from our patients and the wider community,” said Mubadiyah, S.Psi, MM, Head of Marketing and Communication Division at JEC Group. “JEC has consistently embraced 360° integrated communication across all platforms, ensuring our branding and marketing strategies evolve with the times. Technology is advancing rapidly, and we must adapt to deliver the best services while maintaining ethics and professionalism in medical practice. This achievement will further strengthen JEC’s position as a pioneering eye care institution that continues to innovate for excellence.”
Adding to this, Dify M Purba, MBA, Head of Social Network & Multimedia Division, noted:
“The next five years will bring more disruption than the last fifteen. Many technologies that were relevant three years ago are now obsolete. Competition is also becoming more intense, requiring us to constantly adapt our marketing strategies. From fully digital to hybrid approaches, our goal remains the same—to create emotional connections with our patients and ensure our health education reaches diverse communities across Indonesia.”
Closing the statement, Dr. Johan A. Hutauruk, SpM(K), President Director of JEC Group, emphasized:
“This award marks a promising start for 2024. For more than four decades, JEC has been committed to bringing high-quality eye care closer to the people of Indonesia. Moving forward, we aim to further elevate our standards to a global level while collectively advancing eye health services nationwide. With our integrated digital ecosystem, trusted medical expertise, and ever-expanding presence, Indonesians no longer need to travel abroad to receive world-class eye care.”
