DR. Dr. Johan A. Hutauruk, SpM(K) adalah dokter spesialis mata konsultan senior yang berfokus pada kornea, katarak, dan bedah refraktif. Saat ini, beliau menjabat sebagai Presiden Direktur JEC Eye Hospitals & Clinics.

DR. Dr. Johan A. Hutauruk, SpM(K) juga menjabat sebagai Wakil Presiden Asia Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (APACRS), Presiden Indonesian Cornea Society (INACORS), serta Wakil Presiden Asosiasi Rumah Sakit Mata Indonesia (ARSAMI).

Sebelumnya, beliau pernah menjabat sebagai Presiden Indonesian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (INASCRS) dan Wakil Presiden Persatuan Dokter Spesialis Mata Indonesia (PERDAMI). Dr. Hutauruk aktif dalam kegiatan pendidikan ilmiah oftalmologi melalui live surgery, kursus, dan kuliah, serta telah lama berkontribusi sebagai anggota panitia Pertemuan Ilmiah Tahunan PERDAMI.

Beliau juga pernah menjabat sebagai Direktur Layanan Katarak, Kornea, dan Bedah Refraktif di Departemen Ilmu Kesehatan Mata Universitas Indonesia. Atas perannya dalam mengoordinasikan lebih dari 10.000 operasi katarak gratis setiap tahun sejak 2002, DR. Dr. Johan A. Hutauruk, SpM(K) menerima APAO Distinguished Service Award pada World Ophthalmology Congress 2008 di Hong Kong.

 

Selain itu, beliau pernah menjabat sebagai Kepala Divisi Medis Bank Mata Indonesia dan saat ini menjadi anggota Dewan Pengawas Lions Eye Bank Jakarta. Atas kontribusinya di tingkat regional, Dr. Hutauruk dianugerahi APAO Achievement Award (2016, Taipei) serta Sidharta Ilyas Award dari PERDAMI pada tahun 2019.
