Dr. Rino Nugrahaputra, BMedSc (Hons), SpM is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at JEC Eye Hospitals & Clinics.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) – Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM), completing both his medical and ophthalmology specialist training with Cum Laude honors. He also earned a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and subsequently completed a Lens Fellowship Program at JEC Eye Hospitals & Clinics.

Cataract & Intraocular Lens Surgery
Dr. Rino manages various complex cataract conditions using techniques including FLACS (Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery), phacoemulsification, and manual incisional surgery.
He provides personalized guidance in selecting premium intraocular lenses (IOLs), including aspheric monofocal, monofocal plus/extended, extended depth of focus (EDOF), multifocal, toric/non-toric, and phakic IOLs, based on each patient's eye condition and individual needs.
He also manages complex anterior segment cases, including explantation of problematic lenses, secondary IOL implantation such as iris-claw or scleral-fixated lenses, and iris repair procedures (pupilloplasty/iridoplasty) tailored to the patient's condition.
Refractive Surgery
Dr. Rino provides counseling on the options and benefits of modern laser vision correction procedures, including PRK, LASIK, and RELEX SMILE PRO. He helps patients understand their eye conditions, determine the most appropriate vision correction option, and understand the considerations and screening required before undergoing treatment to ensure safety and accuracy.
Cornea
He manages and provides counseling for various corneal conditions, including dry eye, infections, trauma, keratoconus, and post-cataract surgery conditions.
