Doctor Profile
Dr. Nabila Aljufri, SpM, M.Res is an ophthalmologist with special expertise in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Medical Retina. Her scope of practice includes disorders affecting the retina, optic nerve, and visual pathways connecting the eyes to the brain. She manages a wide range of retinal conditions, including hereditary retinal disorders, retinal conditions of unknown origin, diabetic retinopathy, floaters, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Nabila also manages conditions related to inflammation of the optic nerve, such as optic neuritis, as well as optic neuropathy, visual field abnormalities, acute double vision (diplopia), eyelid twitching, and ophthalmic evaluation following trauma or accidents.
In addition, Dr. Nabila is experienced in conducting further diagnostic evaluation for eye conditions with undetermined causes or those requiring electrophysiological assessment of visual function, including Electroretinography (ERG) and Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP).
She also provides comprehensive general ophthalmological examinations and performs ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract surgery. Her other areas of expertise include intravitreal injections, Panretinal Photocoagulation (PRP) Laser, Nd:YAG Laser procedures, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), ocular ultrasonography, radiological evaluation, and other ophthalmic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Dr. Nabila graduated from both the Medical Doctor Program and Ophthalmology Residency Program at Universitas Indonesia and was recognized as one of Indonesia’s top ophthalmology graduates by the Indonesian Ophthalmology Collegium.
She subsequently pursued a Medical Retina Fellowship at Jakarta Eye Center (JEC) and completed an observership program focusing on neuro-ophthalmological visual assessment and diagnostic exploration at Explorations de la Vision et de Neuro-Ophthalmologie (EVNO), CHU Lille, France.
