Doctor Profile
Dr. Annisa Nindiana Pertiwi, SpM is a full-time ophthalmologist at JEC Eye Hospitals & Clinics, with a special interest in contact lens care. She completed both her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s leading medical institutions. She subsequently completed a six-month fellowship in refraction and contact lenses at JEC Eye Hospital.
Dr. Nindi’s clinical practice includes determining the most appropriate options for correcting patients’ refractive errors. She is experienced in fitting specialty rigid contact lenses, including Rigid Gas-Permeable (RGP) lenses, Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses, and scleral lenses. She also provides comprehensive guidance on different types of contact lenses, their indications, and the proper use and care of both rigid and soft contact lenses.
Dr. Nindi is strongly committed to continually updating her clinical knowledge and skills in line with advances in ophthalmology. She regularly attends international ophthalmology conferences, myopia management courses, and contact lens training programs. She has presented her research at various national and international congresses and has published several articles in national and international journals.
Dr. Nindi believes that refractive care goes beyond prescribing glasses or contact lenses. It requires a thorough understanding of each patient’s visual needs, lifestyle, and ocular surface condition. Maintaining ocular surface health, including addressing dry eye, is an essential part of improving comfort and ensuring successful contact lens wear.
Through comprehensive examinations and clear patient education, Dr. Nindi is committed to helping every individual achieve optimal vision so they can carry out their daily activities with greater comfort and confidence.
